Events at Madras UMC
Worship and Spiritual Growth:
Worship Service: Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am for singing, praying and scripture. You’re invited to join us for coffee and fellowship following our service.
Wednesday Bible Study: Our Wednesday Bible Study meets every Wednesday at 2pm here at the church. Our study covers various parts of the Bible. All are welcome! For more information please call the church office at 541-475-2150.
Disciples Bible Study: Our Disciples Bible Study group gathers each Monday at 3pm here at the church. For more information please call us at 541-475-2150.
Community Events:
ID Clinic: The ID Clinic is open on Tuesdays from 10am to 12pm. You can get help with your identification documents, and we’ll cover up to half of the basic cost of your ID. Just visit the church office, no need to make an appointment.
Crafting Group: Folks gather at the church each Friday at 10am for a crafting group. Bring along a current project you are working on or feel free start something new. All crafts and crafters are welcome.
Alcoholics Anonymous: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm.
Indigenous Justice Action Team (IJAT): The Madras United Methodist Church’s Indigenous Justice Action Team meets the last Sunday of each month after church’s Fellowship Time. The purpose of this group is to educate the members of our congregation and, eventually the broader community, about indigenous justice issues. We work in alignment with the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery and support the community of Warm Springs on matters important to the tribes. Because we are a group that will always be learning, we defer to Coalition protocols or local tribal elders when considering any action. We also understand that even the best intentions can create negative impacts, so we are cautious in our approach. Come and See!! Questions? Call the church office at 541-475-2150

Bell Choir: Our Hand Bell choir, The Note-A-Bells, practice Monday afternoons at 4:00pm and occasionally shares music at Sunday services. Contact the church office for details, 541-475-2150. All are welcome!
Choir Practice: Our choir will be taking a break for a bit but will be returning soon, if you are interested in joining us please call the church office at 541-475-2150.
Ukulele Band: Our Ukulele Band meets every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm. If you are interested in joining please contact Jill plant at 541-460-3333 for more information.
Music Team Practice: We are a band of guitars, piano, drums, and vocalists who practice Wednesdays at 6:30pm to prepare the music for Sunday worship. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Jill Plant at 541-460-3333 to get more information!
